Spring Playoffs for the series took place over the weekend with a third competition to be held this Sunday.

Each playoff comprises a best-of-five match format and is contested by four teams in a seeded, winner-advances-style battle for prize money and championship points.

The 2017 LMS Spring Final is meanwhile being held in Macau for the first time, and will be the largest eSports event to be held in Macau this year.

The event at the Studio City Event Center will have a capacity of 5,000 audience members, and each audience member will receive an exclusive skin for the game. Tickets start at HK$180.

League of Legends is one most popular eSports multiplayer games, with an estimated total prize money of US$29.2 billion and over 4,000 professional players having competed across over 1,700 tournaments as of June 2016, according to Techvibes.
