Hong Kong-based Blockpass IDN has joined the Open Identity Exchange (OIX), a cross-sector organization seeking to accelerate the adoption of digital identity services based on open standards.

OIX is a non-profit membership organization that runs projects with multiple members of competing sectors to find solutions to identity management and verification challenges.

Through its membership in the organization, regulatory technology company Blockpass IDN plans to further its goal of developing an identity for the Internet of Everything, according to the company's CEO Adam Vaziri.

"Joining OIX is a great step for Blockpass, and we continue to build strategic alliances and partnerships within the digital identity space," he said.

"The exchange gives us the opportunity to grow, and meet other business in different sectors and industries that have the same devotion to digital identity that we do.”

Last month Blockpass IDN revealed it has won a contract to provide identity verification functionality for security token consultancy service provider GoSecurity. This followed the establishment of the company's new Blockpass Identity Lab in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University in September.
