Canon Hongkong establishes GBA-focused subsidiary

Canon Hongkong has established a subsidiary focused on serving the Greater Bay Area (Image andriano_cz)

Canon Hongkong Company Limited has launched a new subsidiary focused on capturing opportunities within the Greater Bay Area.

The new wholly-owned subsidiary, Canon Business Solutions Guangdong), will be headquarterd in Shenzhen and facilitate sales and service operations for customers in the region.

The subsidiary will also provide assistance companies from within the Greater Bay Area in a range of sectors on their various regional coordination and growth initiatives.

Canon plans to build up a complete product line for the Greater Bay Area market as well as comprehensive business management solutions such as Canon's Unified Business Platform UBP) for enterprise-wide document management.

Canon UBP is an intelligent business management solution designed for Hong Kong-based companies with branches in China. It aims to strengthens management of areas including document processing, workflow automation and resource optimization.

Canon Hongkong's current president and CEO Shunichi Morinaga will also become president and CEO of the new subsidiary.

“The establishment of the GBA has created exciting new opportunities for Canon,” Morinaga said.

“The launch of Canon Business Solutions (Guangdong) indicates our intent to further expand the scale of our business in China’s business imaging market. We also believe we can accelerate the transformation and growth of enterprise clients through our intelligent business solutions and professional services.”
