Insurance and asset management company Allianz has launched its Global Explorer Program, which seeks to bring innovative minds together to focus on the impact on disruptive technologies in human life.
The program commenced in Hong Kong at the first 2017/18 series Formula E Championship race on December 2 with the first Explorer Hub micro-conference.
The conference, organized with WIRED, brought together a group of group of local innovators, researchers and business leaders to discuss the potential impact of different disruptive technologies that will drive sustainable change on urban space.
Allianz will become a five-year partner for the FIA Formula E Championship - the world’s first fully-electric single-seater race series.
As part of this partnership, Allianz will provide fan areas named Allianz E-Village that will provide an immersive experience for fans and showcase new concepts and futuristic technologies for enhancing fan engagement.
In addition, the program will include new initiatives an activities including Allianz Explorer Stories, a digital initiative aiming to crowdsource video content exploring the future of mobility. Allianz is partnering with Launch Forth and Canal+ to create initial content for the initiative.
