Avidbots opens Hong Kong sales office

Robotics startup Avidbots Corp has opened a regional sales and service office in Hong Kong that will focus on serving customers in Hong Kong and Macau and serve as a point of entry into the mainland.

The new office will also support customers throughout Asia-Pacific, allowing Avidbots to target the region's growing stable of smart cities.

Avidbots has developed a purpose-built commercial floor cleaning robot, the Avidbots Neo, that integrates cutting-edge navigation technology with hardware designed for ease of use, longevity, serviceability, safety, and high productivity.

The company's debut product promises to allow facilities and building service contractors to reduce costs, improve the productivity of their cleaning teams, and position themselves at the forefront of facilities management innovation.

“The Avidbots' vision is to bring robots to everyday life to expand human potential," CEO Faizan Sheikh said.

"We are excited to be able to directly service the Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China markets in order to help those markets leverage the power of robotics in support of their Smart Cities strategy."

Avidbots already has customers across four continents, with sales and service offices in its home market of Canada, as well as the US, Japan, Singapore, Australia, France, Norway and the UAE.
